Make a Real Difference in Your Community

Joining Mahaska CERT gives you the opportunity to protect, support, and serve your community when it matters most. Trained volunteers can make a real impact during emergencies by helping neighbors, supporting responders, and strengthening community preparedness.

Engage in Impactful Volunteer Activities

CERT volunteers are everyday people trained to safely assist their community before, during, and after emergencies. Their presence helps local responders focus on critical emergency operations while ensuring the community receives additional support. Tasks can range from supporting search and rescue operations to providing first aid and helping with shelter management.
